Account and business deletion
Deleting an individual sign-in and closing a provider organisation are different actions. Choose the path that matches what you want to remove.
Delete an individual sign-in
Start the request by emailing Sparks Provider account deletion from the address you use to sign in. The email action adds only the subject “Sparks Provider account deletion request”. It does not place your email address, organisation or any other identifier in the link.
In your message, include:
- your organisation name;
- whether you are an owner, admin or worker; and
- whether you want the sign-in deleted from every organisation or only want access removed from one.
Do not send identity documents unless we ask for a secure verification method. We aim to complete a verified deletion request within 30 days. If ownership transfer, another user’s rights or a legal requirement prevents that, we will explain what is needed and what remains.
We will verify the request and explain how it affects each membership. Deleting a sign-in does not close an organisation or automatically erase operational records that organisation controls. Roster, invoice, incident, audit or other regulated evidence may need to remain with that organisation. We remove or de-identify the account reference where reasonably possible and explain any record that must remain identifiable and why.
An organisation owner can remove a worker’s access immediately from the staff screen. Removing access is not the same as deleting the worker’s sign-in.
If the account belongs to more than one organisation, the request must address every membership before the sign-in can be deleted. If you founded or solely own an organisation that needs to continue, an approved ownership transfer must be completed first. Otherwise, close that organisation using the process below.
Close a provider organisation
Only the person who founded the organisation can close it. Sign in on the web, open Business, download the account export, then use Close this business. Type the business name exactly to confirm.
- Uploaded documents, photos and the business logo are removed from the active service straight away and cannot be restored through the account.
- Other active organisation records are scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days.
- The founder can cancel during those 30 days, but the uploaded files already removed do not return.
- Restricted encrypted recovery backups age out within 56 days after deletion from the active service and are used only for disaster recovery.
- The founder’s sign-in remains if it is used for another provider organisation. Request individual sign-in deletion separately if that is also required.
Before deleting
- Download the organisation export and any records you must keep.
- Resolve invoices, reminders and connected Xero work.
- Cancel billing through the channel used to buy it. Deleting app data does not cancel an auto-renewing subscription.
- Tell other authorised users when their access and shared records will end.
Need help choosing the right path?
Contact hello@sparksprovider.app with your account email and organisation name. Do not include participant records or sign-in credentials.
If you subscribed through an app store, cancel the subscription separately in that store account. Apple provides current subscription cancellation instructions, and Google provides Google Play subscription cancellation instructions. An account deletion request cannot cancel an app-store subscription for you.
